New Apple Tablet to be named: iProd
The latest release of iPhone OS 3.1 beta may contain a hint of a new product underway. Ars Technica reports the update includes a configuration file that references iProd1.1. This was initially reported back with the OS 3.0 beta in May and showed up as “iProd0,1″ . For those of you that don’t know we assume that a device listed in the config file with a 0.1 version indicates a prototype device, where 1.1 indicates a beta stage for a device. Many rumors suggest this could be Apple’s tablet that would run a version of the iPhone OS or a new iPod nano with a built in camera.
