Air Harp for iPad

Based on early 15-string examples of the lap harp, the real instrument is used by accomplished harpists and beginners alike and can be played with one hand. Whether the Air Harp will suit one-handed play will become clear after its release, but for now we do know the tones will be in G Major and the 15-string setup will include 2 octaves, plus it will recognize swipe and strum inputs.

Some music will be included with the app, which can be read as you play, and touchGrove indicate that further pieces will be out at a later date, along with blank sheets to record your own compositions.

The release date has been confirmed as the wholly unsurprising April 3rd, but the price is still unknown. However, buyers will get a bonus – a cutdown, single-octave version for the iPhone will be included inside the Air Harp package.
