Facebook app on your iPad
We all know that Facebook have not yet released an app for iPad. Will they ever? Unsure. The iPad has one of the best web viewing experiences around, so surely you’d just use Safari to access a site like Facebook. Whilst Facebook has made custom apps for the iPhone and other devices, they are being really quite quiet about the whole iPad launch, and 2 months down the line, still nothing. Perhaps they’ve realised that Safari really does the job well enough.
However there are still iPad fans who want a proper app, that feels more ‘iPad’.
Whilst we all wait, there is one app that originally started on OS X that could fill the void. Sociable.
Sociable is a great app that connects to your Twitter, Flickr, Digg, Reddit and Facebook streams and brings them in nicely, and allows nearly full interaction. You can’t browse peoples full profiles, however you can view all their photos (in full screen too), and see their wall, see your own Minifeed and comment and like most of the things you see.
Whilst it’s not the full Facebook you know, its most definately the best all round solution for now.
The fact it also does the same for multiple Twitter accounts really makes this app worth $5.99.
Sociable is available on the app store now.
