Insure your iPad for $50

An online company has started offering iPad cover as an alternative to Apple’s own AppleCare. The company, called SquareTrade, are currently offering 20% discount on warranty as part of their iPad Launch Special.
SquareTrade offer cover against drops and spills, unlike AppleCare. Both warranties cover ‘normal use issues’ – issues that shouldn’t happen if you’re using your iPad in a “normal” way. Apple offer the first year of this for free, and then the second year is covered as part of AppleCare which costs $99/year. However SquareTrade are charging a mere $48/year – less than half of AppleCare’s yearly fee.
