First Look: Maxim Magazine

Maxim is known for it’s stylish design and great content in print. It carefully transitions between a typical lads mag and style and fashion and it feels ‘ok’ to read on the train without old lady’s assuming you are a pervert. Bite Size Candy have brought Maxim to the iPad in a digital format, however in the process they’ve ripped out all style and design elements and now the magazine looks like you are reading a glorified RSS feed.

I guess if you are only wanting to read the content, it’s fine, but with a screen as vibrant as the iPad, and with magazines like Time and Wired really setting the standard, sadly Maxim falls short.
