Urbanspoon is an IAC/InterActiveCorp-owned restaurant information/recommendation service competing directly with OpenTable. It developed a popular iPhone application and now have released an iPad version of the app. Those of you familiar with the functionality of Urbanspoon will immediately recognise how to use the iPad version of the app. Simply select one (or all) of three options, Food Genre, Location and Budget, and Urbanspoon will return results back to you of all the restaurants that fit the bill. It’s built in recommendation system is great and given that the app is free, every iPad user should install Urbanspoon for those days when you just can’t decide where to eat out.
