Kindle adds sound and video to iPad app
Amazon has added some new functionality on their Kindle apps, though this one seems to be (at least for now) limited to the iPad and iPhone versions. The new addition to the app comes in the form of support for “Kindle Editions with Audio/Video” which according to the description will give the reader an “enriched” reading experience. In reality, this new support will allow publishers to use audio and video clips within their books.

This functionality doesn’t work on Kindle’s own e-book reading device, so it looks like iPad users are going to be happy campers with the new bonus content starting to show up in some Kindle books right now.
