How to iPad affects other devices?

Resolve Market Research has just completed a comprehensive study examining how the iPad is being used and its effect on other devices.

Resolve found that the iPad was more likely to replace a future e-reader or mobile gaming device purchase than a netbook or laptop purchase. They also found that the iPad is an important gateway product for Apple with 37% of respondents who owned or were planning to own an iPad saying that it was or would be their first Apple device. The top iPad perception was “It is a very expensive toy”. The top reason for intending the iPad was “Entertainment” and the top reason for rejecting the iPad was “I don’t see the need for it”.

    I think iPad is really more useful for entertainment than for business, and it definitely can`t replace laptop. But what concerns portable gaming devices and e-readers – I think it`s more advantageous to buy one iPad for all this needs, cause the experience it can provide in all entertainment spheres is not bad indeed.
