The Yelp business- and attraction-finding app for iPhone has now added full iPad support (along with some bug fixes for iPhone) in v5 of their self-titled app (free), now available on the App Store. For iPad owners, the company has added a photo search of businesses, the ability to rate and write reviews in-app (not just draft reviews as with the iPhone version), and a new landscape map-and-list view. Yelp’s daily-updated information helps users find restaurants, gas stations and other businesses in their area. Users can use their iOS device to sort listings by neighborhood, price, distance or what’s open at the moment.
For iOS devices with cameras, the Yelp app can use Monocle to overlay business information onto the camera’s view.
